Battery and Hydrogen Electric Vehicles for zero emission transport

While decarbonisation of the European transport sector remains a challenge for the upcoming years, EGVIA (European Green Vehicles Initiative Association) and HE (Hydrogen Europe Association) signed a common paper aiming at clarifying the complementarities and specific nature of the technological areas covered by the two technologies.

Various powertrain solutions will play a role in order to achieve air quality and decarbonisation of the European Union: BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles), PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles) and FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles). These technologies offer a wide range of solutions to answer different use cases.

This paper aims at identifying potential for information exchange while clarifying the specific research needs for each technology in order to accelerate the decarbonisation of road transport.

Together we can crack this challenge!
